Orléans Railway Station (France)

Project description
Good lighting of platforms, access points and underpasses helps to engender a feeling of safety and wellbeing among passengers and passers-by. The new lighting system at the Gare d‘Orléans ensures transparency, a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and consequently an improved sense of safety. The station operated by the SNCF (Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français; French National Railways) is partially located underground. Around 200 LED downlighters are used to brighten the platforms. Over a hundred additional recessed luminaires with opal cover panels to protect against dirt and the effects of weather are used to light up the covered access points.
