Conference room

Task

The lighting in a conference room / meeting room / auditorium needs to be designed to provide cold and warm white light in Tunable White and to be flexible enough that it can be combined into different groups depending on changing seating arrangements. It has to be possible to adjust the luminaires or groups of luminaires to provide a wide range of lighting levels and light colours. The entire lighting system needs to be addressed, grouped, configured, and controlled via a display, meaning that it has to be possible to switch between different surfaces. It needs to be possible to place touch pads on these surfaces with which you can select different lighting scenes. To monitor the indoor air quality, the necessary sensors need to be installed and their data integrated into the display.

APCON solution

All the lighting in the conference room / meeting room / auditorium is DALI Tunable White (DT8) and can be controlled to provide cool to warm white light. All the luminaires and APCON lighting control components are interconnected via a two-pole DALI line and are controlled and configured via the 4" APCON DISP4W colour display. The DALI power supply APCON PS-DR supplies the entire DALI bus. The display allows you to group luminaires in accordance with the seating arrangements, to switch them on and off at the desired illumination level, to individually dim and brighten them in the respective light colour from cold to warm white light.

You can swipe between an unlimited number of possible control surfaces, you can, in turn, place countless control panels that allow you to select previously created lighting scenes, as well as sliders for dimming and brightening and for controlling coloured light. As such, you can create individual user interfaces as needed. The 4" colour display APCON DISP4W also has integrated sensors that measure the temperature, air quality, CO2 level, air pressure, and humidity and displays them as values and in a diagram. Like the control panels for lighting control, these displays can also be placed on the control surfaces. The display is powered via the APCON PS24-DR power supply.
