U-LINE is the convertible light channel for individualists
With its simple aluminium profile, the modular U-LINE offers potentials for direct or indirect luminaires, for ceiling and wall mounting and as suspended luminaires. The carrier profile can be mounted invisibly or on the side of the profile by means of design-coordinated cylinders.
Yet the U-LINE can do even more. The profile can be longitudinally adapted to every room, and both right angles and mitre angles are available for creating constructs. The construct formation into the third dimension is also interesting. The profile can be mitre-cut in its transverse direction, which changes the level height. A very interesting design aspect for staircases or multi-level areas.
With the versatile combination options between support profile, gear tray and connector, lighting systems with parabola louvres or opal covers can be realised - straight or around the corner. The ballast unit is integrated into the luminaire, further emphasising the clear and straight-line appearance.
The luminaires can be fitted with T16 illuminants, efficient RIDI LED modules or replaceable RIDI-TUBES.

The U-LINE light channel is an extremely flexible luminaire system and can be integrated as a single luminaire or as a through-wired light channel. The U-LINE gear tray can be combined with numerous optical controllers and covers.

RIDI LED module
U-LINE for LED modules is a narrow, rectangular LED light channel, which is fitted with RIDI LED modules with extruded lenses and covers made from UV-resistant PMMA. The RIDI LED linear modules with mid-power LEDs ensure optimised efficiency, are operated in compliance with SELV and have full-surface contact with the aluminium profile for optimum heat dissipation
RIDI-TUBE
U-LINE for RIDI-TUBE LED luminaires is a rectangular LED light channel, which is fitted with the RIDI-TUBE LED illuminant. This illuminant is highly-efficient, even in continuous operation, and can be replaced with ease thanks to a a socket/base system. RIDI therefore guarantees not only a long service life of the luminaire but also promotes our responsibility towards the environment.
T16 illuminant
U-LINE for T16 is a narrow, rectangular light channel for the T16 illuminant. The slim shape of this luminaire continues to realise modern and contemporary lighting solutions.
U-LINE – straight, with bend or as a construct
Light line
The RIDI U-LINE light channel can create endless light lines. Ideal for large rooms, corridors, public areas and wherever light needs to provide a glare-free, light atmosphere. Also creates a trendsetting function for accentuating the architecture.
Three-dimensional
U-LINE can do even more! U-LINE can follow the architecture over multiple levels. In architecturally-complex rooms or staircases, the U-LINE light channel can be bent into a different level. In other words, the U-LINE opens up the design for three-dimensionality.
Construct
U-LINE can easily form constructs using L-, T- or X-shaped connecting elements. And this convertible profile also allows customised mitre angles to be integrated into the plan. Constructs can be used to create pools of light in the room or connect them together.
Suspended: Standard or design
Invisible pendulum suspension
The cable pendant is split into a trapezoid above the light channel in order to guarantee optimum alignment of the system. The suspended arrangement itself is achieved invisibly on both sides using small spheres, which are pushed into the profile.

The suspended arrangement itself is achieved by cylinders bolted on the side of the profile (Design: Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Bernhard Schicho). This kind of suspended arrangement lends the system a special design feature.
