Sports Hall Lighting with RIDI LINIA EVO
Light Lines as an Architectural Signature

With the Complexe sportif des Sables d’Olonne, a multifunctional sports and event arena with high architectural standards was created. Covering approximately 16,900 square meters, the building complex combines various sports, cultural, and event spaces within a clear and modern architectural language.

The architecture designed by ATELIER FERRET is inspired by the landscape of the French Atlantic coast. This design concept continues throughout the interior. With precise linear structures, RIDI LINIA EVO supports the spatial clarity of the halls while also becoming a defining design element.

The continuous black and white light lines provide visual orientation and create a calm, high-quality spatial atmosphere. At the same time, the lighting fulfills demanding functional requirements. Illuminance levels of up to 1,200 lux in the basketball arena and 800 lux in the other halls provide optimal lighting conditions for sports activities. In addition, the BU optic used ensures low-glare lighting quality with UGR ≤ 22.

The fully integrated DALI lighting management system enables flexible and energy-efficient control of the entire lighting installation. Robust characteristics such as IK08 and IP54 also ensure durable and reliable operation in everyday use.

In this way, the project combines high-performance sports hall lighting with architectural ambition, creating a lighting solution that unites functionality, atmosphere, and spatial design into one holistic concept.
